Adding the Sounder Module to MaxSea TimeZero turns it into an essential tool for a successful fishing. Thanks to its fully compatibility with Furuno Digital Filter (FDF™) fish finders, the sounder module allows you to enjoy on your PC all the advanced features of Furuno sounders.
Directly connected to the echo Sounder or via a NavNet3D equipment, the Sounder module unlocks in TimeZero a dedicated Work Space to display and control FURUNO fish finders DFF1, DFF3, FCV1150, DFF1-UHD and BBDS1, and provides features such as: Sounder Echogram, Accu-Fish, Bottom Discrimination

Sounder Echogram display
Echogram display provides Echo presentation with real time A-Scope thanks to FURUNO's digital filter technology. Digital Filter (FDF™) fish finders offer advanced filtering capabilities and digital auto tuning, which eliminates noise, while delivering the ability to spot individual fish with clarity, accuracy and detail.

Historic Data
TimeZero stores the data received in the past 3 minutes (approximately). You can then easily go back and identify echoes that seem interesting.

The "Sounder and Nav" Work Space can be used to display side by side the Plotter and the Sounder. Moving the cursor on the Sounder will automatically display a red cross cursor on the Chart allowing to geolocate any Sounder "sweeps".

Add a mark
Double clicking on the sounder space will automatically create a Mark on the chart space, making it easier to go back on a structure spotted on the Sounder.

Add event (Plot only)
Clicking on the “Event tool” from sounder space will automatically create a Mark on the chart space at the current boat position.

Accu-Fish (Fish Size Analyzer)
The Furuno Accu-Fish feature add to MaxSea TimeZero a unique fish size analyzer function. The algorithm analyzes echo returns to compute individual fish size allowing displaying it on the TimeZero Sounder space.
When “Sounder and Nav” Work Space is used to display side by side the Plotter and the Sounder, every Accu-Fish icon will also automatically appear geo-localized on the chart.

Bottom Discrimination Display (BBDS1 and DFF1-UHD only)
The bottom discrimination window can be displayed from the Sounder workspace. This information is helpful in spotting the rich fishing ground where you can boost your catch of the day.

Bottom components
The BBDS1 and DFF1-UHD sounders determine the bottom structure and separate it into the following categories: mud, sand, gravel, and rock. This is achieved by analyzing echo characteristics from the bottom components such as particle size and hardness. In addition to providing the seabed information, they also send the probability of discrimination displayed on the bottom discrimination window allowing you to know how reliable the data is in particular areas.

Bottom Component Localization
Moving the cursor over the bottom discrimination windows will automatically display the red cross cursor on the Chart allowing to geolocate any bottom component.

Bottom hardness
When receiving bottom hardness information from the BBDS1 or DFF1-UHD sounders, MaxSea can also register it in the same time as the depth information provided by the sounder. You can then display bottom hardness on the chart using colors or “Black & White” distributed from the softest bottom (mud) to hardest bottom (rock).
